Road trip time...

Well, Zoe, grandma and I are getting ready to leave on a three-city road trip to St. Louis, Kansas City and Joplin, Missouri. We'll be back later this month. I have lots to do to get us ready and get daddy ready before we leave saturday morning. There are a few new posts below. I may or may not post pics while I am gone. If not I'll post some pics when we get back. Our goats are doing well - they finally have names - Lucy and Pepe (thanks to matt on the Pepe). We may have one more goat in our future :) Enjoy the rest of June!!! It's strawberry time :)

The National Aviary

Here are some pics from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh. We went there yesterday. How would you like to see that hornbill in your backyard birdfeeder? How about an African penguin by your pool? So many amazing birds. Some of the exhibits made me feel like I was back in the jungles of Africa - made me want to hop on a plane!

Our family is growing :)

Tuesday night, we welcomed two Nubian/Alpine goats to our family! We've been wanting goats for a while now and the time finally came. Next year after she has babies - we'll finally be able to get our own goat milk :) Here's some pics of Zoe feeding them and the one trying to eat her shirt. We told Zoe to tell them good-bye last night and she decided to kiss them good night.
The one with the blue collar is a male. The black and white one with the pink collar is the female. We are still working on names. We will be getting their actual birthdates soon. They are around 3 months old.
Until we move to our farm/place with more land - they'll be making their home at Grandma and Pap's house - as they have plenty of weeds for them to graze on. Feel free to come visit them :)
I'm sure you'll be seeing more pics of them as we incorporate them into our lives and family and take care of them.
